Recently?

1. Battle Royale ! :)

Couldn't put this down until I finished it

2. 1984

I really liked this!

3. 20 000 Leagues under the Sea

Classic book that I always love reading every now and again

Umm I'm sure there are others but this'll do for now

^^ 1984 was great :) ive read it about 3 times i think

how does it compare to Animal Farm? the eternal question....
I didn't like Animal Farm, probably coz I was too young to understand it. I read it last year, I know it's not that long ago but since then I've learnt a lot more about the history surrounding the story.

thats true, you need to know quite alot about history to read AF i heard. you dont for 1984 tho, it seems to apply to everyone! :uhoh:
Hickie and Marshall are obsessed with both the books. They're good for powerplay they say. They put me off by talking about them so much!

Indeed Marquez is a fucking brilliant writer.

Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides is probably among novels that i'd rate best ever.
