I am planning on studying work and employment (WORK1003) next semester but I am worried it will be incredibly boring and possible irrelevant.
I am studying a bachelor of arts majoring in psychology and spanish, and I feel this unit, which is based on industrial relations and human resource management might help me get a job in HR.
Can anyone tell me their experiences in this subject, and what sort of things you studied?
Do you think studying this unit will be beneficial in getting into/understanding HR?
What is the work load like?
ALSO ****** - is WORK2209 better? 'Organisational Analysis and Behaviour' ? Is it more interesting/would still help me get a job in HR?
- side note: I did introduction to sociology SCLG1001 in first year and hated it. Are these subjects taught in a similar way? e.g marxist perspective, every other perspective...
thanks.
