Ok, mainly to Woolworths employees.

What are your thoughts on being promoted within the company?

A position to be promoted to 2IC of a department has arisen in my store. Although I would like it, I'm not sure whether to go for it as I want to finish my HSC. The other girl who is interested, just came into the department, but has worked for Woolworths for a couple of years. I know my department inside out...

Does the managers of your store ask you whether you would like the position are is it up to you to go for the promotion? And do you know the details of being promoted? Like whose dicides?? ETC.

technically, the deciscion rests with the HR Specialist for your Region, if ur Region 8, then i think it's Liz Barker, but the Store Manager probably has a lot of say.

Approach ur Store Manager if ur interested, but yes, 2IC is full-time, and it carries a lot more responsiblity, the Department manager cant be there all the time, and in their absensce all responsibility lies with u.
