will the current financial crisis affect the UAI cutoffs for commerce or business orientated courses. if it will, will the uai move up or down and by a substantial amount or an insignificant amount.

i am aware that following 2001 and the dot com crash IT courses UAI requirements have fallen such as USYDs software engineering requirement falling from 97.8 to below 90

Interesting question - but I seriously doubt it...unless the Government are nice and pay for extra places, to avoid an unskilled labour force, in that case UAI's would fall - but I doubt it. :(

uai cutoffs are determined by the demand and supply for positions in a certain course at a uni so the financial crisis wont really affect it. unless more ppl decide to get jobs instead of going to uni cos like they have to pay for something in which case uai cutoffs wood reduce
