i tihnk because the holes are more precise and a differnt substance is used for the layer. i dont know.

damn, i used to have cd's of different colour dyes...now my dvds are all bluish dyes...how boring indeed :(

My DVD's are almost all purple and a few are gold or silver =/

while we are tlaking abotu CDs and DVds , i only recently realised that the data on a Cd is not on the shiny side, but is on the back of the label. i figures so , becuase a piece of the label on the front of a CD came off , and it was just a clear plastic disk.
