I was just wondering if there were any other less obvious points?
For all I know, there might not be?
But I was just curious.

well this is what i think why she had to die

the play is the failure of pretty much all the characters. lear dies coz he fails as a father and a king, edmond dies coz u know why, gloucester dies coz he belongs to the elite class yet does nothing to better the situation. cordelia too runs away from the whole thing...she may be virtous but she too fails to change the course of things...hence she dies. only edgar lives but still he has lost all his close ones so that sucks for him anyway.
i see the play as a humanist presentation where the characters' actions lead to the consequences they face.
