Here's some information I found:

Amides have a higher boiling point than carboxylic acids because amides form more hydrogen bonds than carboxylic acids. Carboxylic acids have one hydrogen bond donor atom and two hydrogen bond acceptor atoms while amides have two donor and two acceptor atoms. Thus, amides will have a boiling and a melting point higher than carboxylic acids.
