i think mainly it comes down to dominance and submission. personally i feel my best when im dominant, i dont mean being an asshole, but being assertive and confident.
being the "penetrator" in sex is a dominant role... taking it in the ass is a very submissive role, and it seems like punishment to me, regardless of whether there is a positive physical stimulation or not.
