this is probably a stupid question, but when is the majorwork due? my teacher hasn't told us and i can't find it on the board of studies site, does anybody know the date?

You should be able to find the important dates here-

According to that, the completion date is August the 23rd.

The actual submission date is the 24th of August. Apparantly we are supposed to stop writing at midnight on the 23rd, haha.

And believe me duckies - they check. So for all those doing anything on a disk etc where they can check the time you last worked on it...!!!!
