I was just out driving and to my suprise, i saw a formula ford car on the road, the guy was driving it like it was a normal car! are they legal to drive on public roads?

I didn't think so.

If it was legal it needs blinkers, brake lights, reverse, non-exposed wheels, wing mirrors, not slicks....

On the other hand it could have been driven under club rego which is somewhat more lenient - or maybe with just a cover note...

Yeah, its possible to see those type of cars. It was probably moving during a Club race meet or something. Probably an Amature racer.

yes i know how a formula ford looks like, and i did see one...not near/between any race tracks...in a resedential area.

Probably just someone who owns it locally and was working on it then needed to do a road test.
