I put down "because I am good at it" even though I love it as well as that is the more important factor. Surely if you had to sacrifice your love or skill for maths for the short term over the HSC you would sacrifice your love.

MX2 aligns better, but Adv English scales pretty nicely. Also, because, unless you do extension englishes, it is worth 2 units which HAVE to count, the score needs to be good.

This is just my HONEST opinion (please dont sue me), based on my marks and others that I've seen on the site.

Just don't ignore english for MX2. Good Luck

Teachers always play a major role.
I reckon they can make or break the subject.

i found mx2 pretti easy due to my teacher (coz she whips me to study =_=")
but my mx1 is juz...blah. coz the teacher doesn't do anything. *sigh

i have the same teacher for 3U and 4U maths, but it's kinda weird that he teaches 2u teach with 4U method....2U volumes and he links it to 4U format

That's a good thing, he shows where to use it in the 2u parts, which is pointless in a way since we don't do the 2u hsc test

my major pros r: 1. silly mistakes, and 2. i learn something so i can forget others from before. @_@

but doing mx2 for me is purely for scaling advantages. =\

We don't have to do 2u test at school, I think only the major ones like Half Yearly, Trials
