I kinda understand the process of using strong induction, but I still have no idea what it is or why we need to use it?
What part of a question signifies that I have to use strong induction? And is strong induction included in Ext1 or Ext2 HSC?

Oh it’s just when u assume like n=k and n=k+1 then prove n=k+2
This is for questions that have like a second order recurrence relation

And is strong induction included in Ext1 or Ext2 HSC?
def not in 3u, it most likely won't be in the 4u hsc but some schools put it in their 4u trials because they teach it even though it's not really specified in the syllabus

Ext 1 induction is proving summations and divisbilities but ext 2 integration includes stuff like 2nd order recurrence, inequalities with induction but the point is to familiarise yourself with notations such as the sigma and the big pi(multiplication)
