Hi

I'm interested in doing corporate law.

Could someone, who has done or is currently doing, Business Law as a major for B/Com enlighten me on what kind of content does this major involve?

And how does this compare to the actual B/Com/Law combined degree?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I did a minor in biz law when I did BCom - its essentially a "watered down" version of LLB subjects. They're very specific in that they'll focus on "business" law areas such as tax, corporations law, trade practices etc etc. You won't be doing hundreds of hours of reading cases as LLB students would because most of the cases/acts you're required to know are pretty much given, hence there isn't much of a research component, however the subject matter I found was interesting given I couldnt care less about criminal law, constitutions etc

If you like to study business law without the workload of a law student, I'd recommend it
