Hi, A workshop is similar to a tutorial but is more hands on. For example, if you were completing a computing course, a workshop could involve going into a computer lab and completing work on the computers. Or, if you were an engineering student, a workshop could involve doing work in the engineering labs. I would imagine attendance would be compulsory, but to clarify, it is best to contact your unit coordinator.
