Family Relationship - Crisis/Issue(s) they face

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ customary law marriages - Not recognised as formal marriages due to non-compliance to definition of marriage.

Single parent families - Failure to pay maintenance, discrimination (pretty much solved by various Anti-discrimination Acts) and residential and contact agreements.

Same sex relationships - Recognition of same-sex marriage (achieved through a list of cases and legislations), maybe the trend to legalise gay marriages.

Polygamous marriages - Not recognised in Australia, only the first spouse is legally recognised, the rest can be considered as de factos

De facto relationships - Recognition of de facto relationship (refer back to a list of legislations again)

Children and their parents - Care and protection, new technology to reproduction (i.e. AI and invitro and problems these might have).

These are pretty brief try to look them up on your textbook.
