Could someone plz answer these questions:
1. What is an aligned mark....i need to noe so i can change my marks for SAM.
2. I am doing 12 Units. Both my Physics and 3U Maths are crap so which one should I drop? If I drop 3U i will be on 11 units so thats safer...but physics is harder to revise for. I f I drop physics i'll be on 10 U....and thats risky. What should i do? Which one scales better? Is 50% for a 3U maths ok?
3. Is there life after the HSC!!

An 'aligned' mark is one which is reported against the Board's official standards for a course. For example, an aligned mark of 70 is on the border between Band 3 and Band 4. It might have originally been a raw mark of 60 or even 80. You can access more information on the Board's aligning procedures via their website:

General information and background surrounding the aligning of marks:

Details of the aligning process itself:

Both courses are reasonably similar - keep the one you enjoy more.
