Has anyone heard of this director? He's probably best known for his series "Homicide: Life On the Street, but he's also directed a loose trilogy of movies on American yuppies in the 1980s. I just learnt about him myself, and his movies sound pretty worthwhile. The three movies are called:Metropolitan, Barcelona and The Last Days of Disco.

i've seen metropolitan. the writing is excellent, but the execution (especially the acting) leaves a lot to be desired. everything's in the writing, nothing's on the screen. i hate films like that. but overall, it's still fairly good. i haven't bothered to see any of his other stuff.

btw, it's whit stillman.

Yeah I realised after I posted it. I got his name mixed up with Walt Whitman's. Ah well, maybe I'll just read the script then? :p
