Are these our raw examination marks?

So when UAC goes to calculate our ATARs, will they scale the marks we just got either up or down?

No, these are not raw marks. UAC will almost definitely scale downwards from the mark that you see today, except if you're doing Maths Extension 2, or you did extremely well (high band 6).

Seriously

The scaling process used by the UAC is completely different and separate to the aligning process done by the Board of Studies. The marks you received today were your aligned marks.

The UAC uses raw marks to calculate your ATAR.

You can enter your aligned HSC marks into ATAR calculators because that is what they are designed to do - try and estimate your ATAR based on your HSC marks even though your ATAR isn't actually calculated from your HSC marks.

Scaled marks (the ones UAC use to calculate your ATAR) are usually very low. But consider this: A scaled aggregate (best 500 scaled marks) of 350~ equates to an ATAR of 90.

doesnt uac scale the raw marks seperately anyway? so in the end the atar will be formed using scaled marks anyway, just scaled according to the universities

Ok so I got 4 band six marks -
English Extension 1 92
Studies of Religion II 92
Society and Culture 93
Visual Arts 91
and 2 band 5 marks -
English Advanced 83 (I fucked the exam big time)
Modern History 87

Do you think this will be enough to get me 90s? Even low 90s? I don't want to get my hopes up but if UAC uses raw marks then I have NO idea!
