I have this question-

figure this guys rate per hour our:
normal hours worked: 36
time and a half: 4
overtime: 6

Wage: 685.80

how do you work out the 1.5X & 2X???

hey, r u trying to find out his hourly pay?
i think to that u would go 4x1.5 = 6 , 6x2 = 12
6+12+36 = 54

685.80 / 54 = 12.7

therefore hourly rate is $12.70

i think thats right

685.80 = (36X) + (1.5X x 4) + (2X x 6)

Then Solve for X

685.80 = 36X + 6X + 12X
685.80 = 54X
Therefore X = 12.70
and so the hourly rate = $12.70

I think its a very simple question, providing i get the answer right.
Is the answer $12.70?
If that is the answer i will scan up my working.

EDIT:
Wow very easy.
Everyone has different working out including myself.

i had a mental blank
when trying to remember vast expanses of knowledge i find the easy stuff leaves first
