Anyone here doing video drama? Or done it?

I need to know if it is worth hiring a decent dv camera or just using a small handycam dv camera?

I did video drama... It depends how competent with a camera you are... If you don't manual focus and manually white-balance, then use a miniDV handycam... If you do everything manually, then i suggest you hire a 3CCD camera - top suggestions: Canon XL1, Canon XL1s and Sony DCRVX2000... Just food for thought...
