I'm not sure when students will recieve them but does anyone have any idea on what the general makeup of them are?

Being a college I'm assuming it'll be 5 days a week, 9-5pm or something along those lines?

I really hope that's not the case but perhaps someone who has attended previously may be able to help.

I'll be doing the Diploma of Business and Commerce.

I have no idea, from what i've gathered its something around that though. I kinda think that being that many hours would be a good thing though, y'know more time studying with people there might help(well for me at least) Do you know when we get timetables? I read somewhere the first week of term? but that seems a bit late..I'm hoping i get mine next week at orientation (diploma of social science at westmead :) ) or if not then hopefully they'll give an indication about how many hours/days a week we'll be attending

I also read on the website that it was the first week but when I called the College lastweek and questioned them the girl on the other end rambled on about Orientation day and recieving them the day after but that didn't sound correct so not to sure really. I'll also be at Westmead but I'm assuming it'll be 5 days a week for most of the day which isn't to good.

Yeah the staff at the college don't seem to know what they're on about, everytime I call they tell me just to wait and call back or do something later. Have you got your id card yet? I called yesterday and asked if I could come in and get mine but she said their camera was under matinence (?) so I should
Wait and call back next week.

Haven't even bothered to check it out - I might just look after it on Orientation day.

The information you were given appears correct if you read the instructions

Maybe if you go to the official facebook page for UWSCollege you may be able to get a response. By the way UWSCollege is one word. http://www.facebook.com/uwscollege

Check out the uwscollege current student web page http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/course/local/current_students

The timetables at http://sheltie.uws.edu.au/uwscollege/data/timetable/ are for the last semester of 2011 but may give some indication of what you might face. eg Timetable for Dip Bus & Comm 3 Sem Oct

These are only an indication of your face-to-face commitments. There is quite a change in private study commitments when you study university subjects.

It is often a challenge for, not only students, but also their families to realize that if you have three hours of classes (lectures, tutorials and/or workshops) you need to commit seven hours of private study to a subject. Often students wake up to this commitment far too late and find themselves getting behind and at real risk of failure.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with UWS College. In terms of a student card, you can get yours from your nearest Student Central. For the location of the Student Central closest to you, please visit http://www.uws.edu.au/studentcentral. Best regards, UWS Course Info
