Yeh, you don't have to get the student card on enrolment day. The dates are in the link I posted above. I'd suggest that if you don't have the appropriate ID, you get some. You have until late feb/early march. Even if it's just a Proof of Age card, it's good to have some identification.

Just a question about Student ID, can we receive it during the day we enrol ?

And if so, would the travel concession be displayed on it ?

St. James Campus/Faculty of Law
Student Cards will be issued at the Faculty of Law for in-person enrolling students only. Once you have completed your enrolment Stage 1 and Stage 2 you can obtain your Student Card. Student Cards will be issued on the following days in Lecture Room 4, Level 1:

* 29 January, 4 February, 13 February, 23 February - 10am to 4pm

Is the location in the old or new law school?
You sure we have to get our cards from the Law facutly? I was pretty sure the guy at the Law Lecture said for the first three years of the Combined Law degree we're enrolling with the Faculty of Arts. So wouldn't we get it from them?

Yes

Yes, if you are eligible and fill in the form they'll give you.
Well, I am eligible (after I checked the government site), so would they determine my eligibility on the spot ?

And after filling in the forms, they take a photo, record details and whatnot ?

Also, for our address information, would my driver's license be sufficient ?

yes to all three questions. (you just have to sign a small form at the card centre to be considered eligible for the concession. then they take your photo and print your card on the spot.)

just checking a point for enrolment day.
when you pick the subject- the unit of study, i visited the
website and it is basically set out for you, eg)3 junior level of
chemistry.
so you pick junior units of study which is outlined on the
faculty handbook right?
or do you need to talk to academic supervisor?

yeah just follow the basic plan. if you're doing science then you should do:

S1:
math
math
major1
major2
elective

S2:
math
math
major 1
major 2
elective

That way, you'll have satisified the math requirements before second year, you'll have completed 12 credit points of junior subjects in two areas meaning you can take intermediate subjects in two areas, and you'll have done some electives (maybe even leading to a third area of intermediate subjects).

The site says you need to bring a form of photo identification and a Confirmation of Enrolment to collect you card. What's this Confirmation of Enrolment ? Is it the letter they send you 3 days after you enrol ? And if it is, doesn't that mean we can't receive the card on the day ?

do we need to make any payment on the day?

if so, my friend told me they only accept credit card/cheque but not cash... problem is i don't have a cheque book nor a credit card, can I use my parent's credit card? well, i asked my friend about this and she says i would have to get my parent's signature to use it... but is there any other way?
