i was offered an entry scholarship for science.

However Usyd science/eng combined degree is my 2nd preference.

If I accept the offer for the scholarship do i have to go to Usyd ignoring

my first preference?

If I would like myself to be considered for the first pref. do i hav to decline the

scholarship?

A friend of mine has UNSW med as a first pref and was offered a scholarship for her second pref by the eco faculty.

You don't have to decline it yet, apparently, because the scholarship is conditional on your acceptance of the offer. If you get your first pref, USYD will never have cause to make you an offer and hence you won't get the scholarship anyway. You will/are still being considered for you first pref without declining it, from what she told me, it's not binding. But you can always ring up and make sure.

Well actually a Science/Engineering combined degree is administered under the Engineering department. So you can't do that course and get the scholarship anyway. You must do one administered by the Science department to get the scholarship.
