I do not understand the difference in the actual wording of these two questions

1. How is the concept of friendship presented in these two sets of songs?

2. What perception of friendship is given to the audience in both texts?

The first question is asking how friendship is presented i.e techniques and so forth.

The second question is asking, what the perception of friendship is i.e what the audience thinks friendship is in the context of those texts.

EDIT: Then you use the third question to get more specific as regards language technique, and use the first to refer to a wider range of techniques i.e use of setting, weather etc.
