uploading pics (1 Viewer)

i dont know nothing abou computers, and everytime i try and upload a photo it says this,

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.


* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

WTF???

There is your problem. The file you are trying to upload is larger then the max filesize limit. Here are the limits:

Filetype Max Filesize
bmp 97.7 KB - -
doc 1.95 MB - -
gif 97.7 KB - -
jpe 97.7 KB - -
jpeg 97.7 KB - -
jpg 97.7 KB - -
pdf 1.95 MB - -
png 97.7 KB - -
psd 97.7 KB - -
txt 97.7 KB - -
zip 97.7 KB

You need to reduce the file size to upload it or alternatively you can upload it to an image hosting site and link to it.

yep. that explains lil lelu's problem easily enough.

but i have another similar one which isn't as easy to explain.

yesterday, i tried to upload a pdf with file size 672kb as an attachment and it wouldn't do it. i got a similar error page that lil lelu got.

i thought at first it might be a problem with my computer, so today i tried it again on a different computer and it again didn't work. so i don't think my computer's to blame.

is the upload limit for pdfs really 1.95Mb? i know that's what it says, but if so, my upload should have worked because 672kb is quite a bit lower than 1.95Mb.

(btw, i was trying to add the attachment to an older post, not a new one)
