Hi everyone,

I just did a practical exam for Chemistry and lost marks for writing g/mL as the unit of density. While I was in fact dealing with a solid (sand), Conquering Chemistry features a practical where the density of ice (a solid) is measured in g/mL, on top of the densities of all the liquids being in g/mL. The textbook never mentions any other unit of density at all. I am somewhat confused, what should I be using for my HSC? I am still in Prelim so I would appreciate knowing. Thanks.
