They protested at the hearings of the fuckstains, claiming they should never have been arrested, they were imprisoned for their views, political prisoners etc. There's no lies to be spread here, mate. :)
Last time I checked - people are allowed to protest (in fact you Lib scum even had your anti-protests last year).

I have a LONG history with the left-wing, including designing the website of the Communist Party of Australia. I, and most left-wingers distinguish between what we call the "pragmatic left" and the "irrational left". I fall into the former, the student left-wing political groups fall into the latter.
Have you ever read Marx?

I know your definition of Communism is the PRC. But the PRC is far from Communist. It is pseudo-Communist/pseudo-capitalist totalitarian state.

You have also said in the past that you are ashamed of your past association with the CPA in Australia. You are a liar and a sham.

All this doublespeak.

There's a difference between protesting and attacked cops.

Were you there?
These kids were not the ones in the wrong.

So what they blocked Railway Square.
By that logic we should arrest the government for blocking students out of their own university when Condo Nazi Rice came to town.

Yes.

They threw projectiles at me and those around me, then attacked police. That's far from "not in the wrong".
So what they blocked Railway Square.
I now think we're referring to different incidents. I was talking about the one last year where they held an active protest against the hearings of commies who attacked police.
By that logic we should arrest the government for blocking students out of their own university when Condo Nazi Rice came to town.

And don't forget trying to block railway square.
Although it was irrational (and even slightly stupid) by democratic definition, they were at perfect liberty to sit in the middle of the road in peaceful protest.

hey, it's a long thread, so sorry if this has been asked, but is it compulsory to vote at the union board elections or not?

If obstructing traffic is an offense than the RTA should be charged for what they did to William Street.

If people were do vote on the Tshirt design, it would go:

1. Roz
2. Rose
3. Tom
4. Monica
5. Danielle

So far I have collected 3 of the 5 Tshirts I have seen.

I made a brief attempt to get a Monica one, but unfortunately i was wearing a Roz T shirt at the time and I was not quick enough to cover it with my jacket. I haven't tried to get Danielle's one yet as socialists scare me.

Re: Union Board Elections 2006 - UPDATED 26/4

Monica came in and spoke in my ECOP lecture today. I thought she was quite good - didnt come in with stupid policies like 'I will enforce sexual equality' - and I like her idea of bringing in private businesses to do uni catering.

That policy is shared by Monica, Tim, Michelle, Jo and myself. Jo and I were both victims of union-induced food poisoning in our first few weeks of uni.

privitisation is a great idea but oporto and boost juice? talk about out of touch. (from monicas little thing). I mean we have some of the best, cheapest food in sydney around our campus - $5dollar stakes at lansdowne, $6 thai at newtown. i dont know why any student would want to vote for oporto

Half our campus came down with food poisoning, six weeks into our first semester of uni. Both Jo and I were incapacitated for a week.
