Adelaide does not except you if you have any teritary record.

Like if you have started uni or you have a Bach or anything else.

your highest level of attainment can only be yr 12 or Eqv.

this is only for local australian residents.

Oh ok, but what could possibly be thier justification for such a bullshit policy?
Does this policy also include university of Western Australia too?

Thanks for the reply but, greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

no UWA is not like that..

but i think other unis lik monash do.. and i think UMelb disadvantages u too.. they prefer to give the places to ppl that jsut did yr 12 once or to ppl that could make it in the 1st time.. it is to gain the most talented yr 12 students possible.

its so u do not have an unfair footing in sciences that allows u to be ahead.. and if u are in another course.. u can just wait to enter Flinders

ummm tho if ure a Uni of Adelaide 1st and 2nd yr u can tranfer.. to MRBS or BMP

this policy is to encourage more SA students to enter medicine

oh ok, fair enough.
yeah melbourne or i think it was monash are just brutal, i called them up and asked them if someone has not done chemistry in year 12, but did a substantial amount in thier first year of tertiarty study, would they be allowed to transfer? the reply was no, and the only possible means of entry for anyone without a secondary level chemsitry background would be graduate medicine.

dont you find it abit wierd in terms of thier "gaining the most talented year 12 studnets" policy, i mean for someone who continues to pursue medicine even if they didn not get first year entry isn't that a sign of determination and in effect a "talent" may i say in its own right?

I did not know Flinders had a medicine course, im assuming this is private or something full fee paying like Bond Uni in QLD or am i mistaken?

plus what is MRBS and BMP?, sorry im not familiar with these names.

cheers for the reply mate. :)

you're mistaken
Flinders is the oldest Grad med course in Australia. its like other schools its a mix of CSP, MRBS, BMP and full fee. requires GAMSAT.

MRBS= medical rural bonded scholarships and BMP= bonded medical place.

Melb Monash and Adel dun realli have to justify their policies.. its just a matter that you play the game to get in...

and its subjective.. the counter to ure argument is..
if u were so talented why do u need to compete on an unlevel playing field?
but then u still have the options of UNSW, UWS, Newcastle, UWA, Bond at least.

some of ure questions can be answered with a search too.
