i'm doing an assignment on byron's law. in part of it, a nsw criminal court of appeal made a ruling on something. is a district court under a lower jurisdiction level than the appeals court? i.e. held under precedent? or is it at a similar level and only needs to take influence from the decisions, or even at a higher level and not restricted by the precedent at all
