asqy, is your disdain for usyd resulting from the fact you missed the cutoff?

is this the next stage of school pride - like uni pride? USYD vs. UNSW?

edit: ..., canberra was burning the last time i went there - i got out asap.

you could take a course and just add the word 'international' to it, and the UAI cut-off would go up. it just sounds nice.

i'm sorry!! i wanted to do that too and that's what my careers adviser told me!

i think i'm not half as smart as i'd like to think i am, and i have no idea how i rank with the rest of the state. argh, that's why looking at courses i want to do is kind of difficult. i wish the school could give us an estimated UAI.

LoL, not the way you're suggesting :D... no i find it warm and fuzzy and homely and comfortable - somewhere i can learn and enrich and appreciate... like my school (est. 1883)...

edit: dun worry toodz - ur school is major kickass anyway.

Sydney Boys' High School - 1883
The University of Sydney - 1850

edit: sandstone is pretty pretty.

to tell you the truth i had a bad dream after i went there for the 'courses and careers' day... coz somebody told me it was the law students' 'tower of power' and i dreamt it was some evil structure...

well, not really. we just have a few smart kids at the top.. only 60% get over 90 UAI because we're not very selective, the entrance exams are a joke.

edit: hmm, considering we're a relatively small school (about 150 kids a year) it shouldn't be too hard to get a higher percentage than that... our rank in the state went down last year too. i guess we're just getting dumber and dumber. hope the pattern doesn't continue in that direction
