So anyway, I got much better than I thought - but.

These are my marks:

Engineering - 91
Software - 85
Physics - 83
IPT - 89
2u maths - 78
English - 69

Ozseek, that alpha2 one (from these forums), and the actual UAI are pretty far apart.

What do you think I should have got?

Thanks in advance.

Standard.

Ok, now. Ozseek said I'd get 92.xx, that alpha2 one said I'd get 88.xx, and my actual result is 85.10. Which I am still stoked with, but those stupid 'predictors' got my hopes up.

I am SURE UAISeeker would not be that far unless you are using it wrong.

My bet is you left it in percentiles mode and put your aligned mark in it. Which would result in an over-rated UAI.

From others, it shows that it is quite accurate the UAISeeker. in average only 3 points off.

How about you try using the UAISeeker AGAIN making sure it is selected to input ALIGNED marks. NOT percentiles.

Hmm....I guess looking at the percentiles you fell in, which is actually pretty high, the less accurate the UAI predictor is.

I didn't know 91 in engineering studies will place you in the top 1% of the state.

It has been noted that results become less accurate as you get higher percentiles.

But in my opinion I would thought high 80's/borderline 90 as well.

Oh well, thats life.

Can't expect everything and everyone to be right.

In either case, sorry for a bad prediction...

UAC dont use aligned marks to calcuelte ure UAI but the raw exam mark (plus moderated assesment mark). So thats probably why its not accurate?

For me, i used it to predict my UAI by estimating my percentile using the info from the 2003 band descriptors. My estimated UAI was approximately the same as todays (+- 0.5)! :)

Meh, its not the end of my life. Its the start.

Really, before the exams, I thought that mid 70's would be amazing, and I was just purely shocked when I saw my results, and the UAI that I got. Definitely gives me more breathing room than I ever would have imagined.
