9a ) Show that sec@cosec@ = sec²@/tan@
b) hence find the exact value of int ( sec@cosec@ dx )pi/3 -> pi/4.

a) was straightforward, but i'm trying to tackle b)



Any suggestions?

notice that the numerator is the derivative of the denomninator...

so the integral becomes

[ln (tan x) ] pi/3pi/4

lol i hate trig....
haha we just did all that shizen and it was 1/3 of our ext half yearly yestaday...FAIL!!!!!!!! soz im not much help at all just letin u no trig is gay...
i dun rekon il eva understand it nemore seein as it basicaly dusnt even hav nethin to do wit triangles nemore....:D

Yeah sorry about that, noticed using tan as a substitution.

Even more gay since this was in a 3unit book.
