So Area = 1/2 x 0.5 x 0.8944 = 0.2236 (4 decimal places)

Yer you rewrite the equation replacing the dx with a 1 so you get:

x+3 . dx

Then you use the rule 1/2(b-a)(f(a)+f(b))

1/2(2-1)(1/4+1/5)
1/2(1/4+1/5)
= (appoximation).... don't have calulator
