So what are your Top 3 "One Timers". By One Timer I mean a song which is from a band/singer you don't normally listen to, yet ONE particular song from said band/singer is regularaly listened to. Mine are:

1.) Headstrong by Trapt
2.) Pretender by The Foo Fighters
3.) Overkill by Colin Hay (Scrubs anyone?? :uhhuh:)

Half-based by seeing other music-related topic, and thought it would be neat to see other Year 12'ers One Timers.

Underworld - Born Slippy.
Recognisable as the song from Trainspotting, though there's a good chance that, like me, you heard it before then. Apart from 'Two Months Off' this is the only Underworld song I listen to

Chris Botti ft. David Koz - Love Is On The Way
Don't listen to either of these artists really, even though they've had extensive careers. This one song though has such a great groove and melody that I just love.

Paradise Lost - Say Just Words
I've tried to get into this band more, but apart from a small selection of songs, there's not many I really like. This one gets played much more than any of the others

So yeah, there's a few to look over. I could list more, but that's a diverse selection of three to give a general idea.

I listen to a huge amount of music, so I'm pretty broad in my tastes. I tried to pick songs that weren't just one hit wonders, but actually came from artists with a decent discography.

The following three are artists I still listen to a decent amount, but the song listed is listened to a disproportionately amount more than the rest

The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize??
Uplifting, yet extremely depressing. A great mix of emotions come out of this song.

Say Hi To Your Mom - Let's Talk About Spaceships
Lyrically, I think its better than man of their other songs. And the I love the chorus.

New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
There are a few different versions by New Order, but this is my favourite. Just real catchy Synthpop at its best

Did you read the first post?

"By One Timer I mean a song which is from a band/singer you don't normally listen to, yet ONE particular song from said band/singer is regularaly listened to."

yeah it's just the phrase 'one timer' is kinda weird you know?
Yeah, the phrase is a bit weird.

That Bad Brains one sounds pretty good. Still waiting for the other one to load.

I wish I hadn't hit my internet cap...

I've been listening to heaps of that 80's style, and modern adaptations of it. Slowly moving on to more electronic based stuff.

werd. there are lots of indie electronic (or whatever) bands doing it. but i can't really get into them as much as bands like new order or depeche mode.

Check out the Postal Service. They're the ones that got me into it. Also, New Order has a bunch of different side projects that are really good. Monaco, The Other Two, Electronic, and Bad Lieutenant are all worth listen to.
