Hi, guys. Hope studying is going well.

I was wondering if anyone has tips to study for my subjects bc my prelims start on 3/9 and it’s been a pain in an ass bc all ive been doing are trig problems
My subjects:
EE1, ME1, legal studies, economics (dropping next year), physics

im most worried for me1 and the english stuff bc idk what they’ll throw at me. legal shouldnt be too bad. i cant tell if physics will be bad bc the past papers are alright but maybe my teachers want our cohort to suffer. Eco… idk how much I want to focus on it bc I’m gonna drop anyway (I’ve been slacking for the past term :().

im ready to do 10hr study sessions. Just any tips to maybe avoid that?

Honestly, 10hr sessions sound hardcore but they’ll probably burn you out fast. What helped me was breaking things into 2–3hr focused blocks with short breaks, and rotating subjects so your brain doesn’t get fried on one topic (like trig all day 😅). For ME1/EE1, try doing past papers under timed conditions, it’s the best way to see patterns and what examiners want. For English, make essay plans/outlines instead of writing full essays every time; it saves time but still trains your structure. Physics past papers are usually super representative, so stick with those. And for eco, since you’re dropping it, maybe just cover the basics so you can grab easy marks without sinking too much time. Quality > hours , you’ll retain more that way. Good luck

10 hours, especially for prelims, is unrealistic and unnecessary. just do practice papers and spend time to understand from mistakes you have made, instead of trying to spam as many as possible.

defo dont need 10 hour sessions for prelims. its still year 11, you can make as many mistakes as you want and fuck around all day. but heres my tip for some of ur subjects

math: pretty obv just do past paper q's
eco: ask ur teacher for any clues on the essay. if ur cohort can figure out what the general question of the essay is, then make a draft, ask teacher for feedback, then memorise it. as for content, just know how things work and how things effect each other. and go through the content/know definitions.
physics: i personally did shit in physics, but, make sure u know all concepts and theory.
