The cathode was the chlorine gas turning into chlorine anions.
That's what I said. Everyone kept telling me the potassium got reduced somehow.

Awesome, got this too :D

And the equation was :

Ni(s) + 2Cl-(aq) ----> Ni2+(aq) + Cl2(g)

?
I think its the other way around:
Ni(2) + Cl2(g) --> Ni2+ + 2CL-

Because Chlorine is getting reduced?

because the concentration was 1.6mg/L

And the sample was 100mL, you had to multiply 1.6 by 0.100L to get 0.16mg

I dont think so - I think the KCl was just the electrolyte? Because Cl2 gas was bubbling it - they wouldnt have it doing that for nothing -_-

It was an alright paper. Not too easy, but not as hard as some of the past papers I've done.

Did anyone else get hydrogen gas for question 20?
Yes, I got Hydogen. That was one of the easiest calculation questions in the paper.

I second that. Although i got 0.165mg/tablet, Graph must of been slightly different.

Friggin awesome exam. The calculations were a bit iffy, and the Industrial Chemistry option was a bit of a bitch. But overall, pretty good. Sayoonara Board of Studies!
I didn't really mind the industrial chem option. Other options were certainly harder. I screwed the equilibrium constant one in industrial chem so had to go back and fix it up after I realized what a stupid mistake I made in forgettign to find the cocnentration from the given table!!!
