In my class i have to collect four pieces of source material from ancient and modern writers that provide information about Themistocles in the Persian War period. i have no idea where to start or even where to look for this guy. anyone got any suggestions?

Plutarch
Herodotus
playwrites such as Aeschylus and Aristophanes

Modern Sources: (Any reliable modern historian)
Bradley
Bury and Meiggs

One of the best archeological finds was 'themistocles decree' aka the trozean inscriptions. If these are to be beleives, he was nothing short of a genious. I agree plutarch is great. He descibes themistocles as standing alone when it came to foresight and intellect - one of the best quotes you'll find on themistocles :)
