hi everyone i just got my english assessment and i need to know
*the definition of "road metaphor" and its appeal in representing the concept of "the journy"

if anyone at all can help that would be great.

is this for Road Not Taken?

The 'road metaphor' just refers to the road being used to represent other things, shuch as the choices in life....

It represents the journey so well becuase it is so easily identifiable.

It was not just for the road not taken. I did understand what the road as a metaphor means i was just looking for a detailed responce to the question...you know with all the big words that u can't even say.

i have found some other material now and thanks any way.

the road not taken can be seen metaphorically and literally
metaphorically is that the road he travels on will impact upon the rest of his life
the road as a life journey
literally its about a man choosing which road to travel on

yeah i understand that there have been many arguments and discussions about what the road not taken is and what it is about. there are many 'angles' of the poem u are able to look at including metaphorically and literally.
