Here substances are "packaged" and "processed" to be transported elsewhere in the cell. But what does that mean? What happens to the substances, exactly?

What do they mean by "packaged" and "processed"?

Golgi body appears like this stacks of membranes under electron microscopy (EM) right? So enzymes or proteins are made in the rought endoplasmic reticulumn and are sent to the Golgi body. Here, the Golgi body modifies the proteins/enzymes as required, and then encapsulate these products (packaging) into vesicles. These vesicles break off at the end of the Golgi body (note that there are round spheres next to the stacking structures of the Golgi? (please refer to an EM graph if you don't know what I mean). And these vesicles can then be delivered to other parts of the cell or to the outside of the cell (processing).
