for the first point im looking at plastics chemists but i cant find any chemical principles that they could use. could anyone help?

or is there a better field of chemistry to do?

It's fairly common to do Chemists that work with making soaps, then you have tests and principles like saponification and pH balancing. It also gives u a bit of a headstart if u do Industrial Chemistry as well, cos u do Saponification in a fair amount of depth

um, its the first part of the first unit - u should have done that by now (or are you going out of order?)

yeh, its making polyethylene ( a plastic) from ethylene, PVC (another plastic) from Chloroethene, etc which i assume a 'plastics chemist' would use...
