In the interest of somewhat recouping the fortune I spent on (used) textbooks, would it reduce their resale value if I covered them in clear contact to protect the covers? Yes they're already 2nd hand, but they're all in excellent condition, I could easily convince someone that I bought them new.

What do you think? If I covered them in contact does their value go down? what about up considering it would protect them?

Personally I'd prefer to have my books covered, and if it was already done, and done well, I'd be happy to pay a slightly higher price. But it really comes down to personal preference.

I don't think it would affect the resale price too much. Just keep in mind that the price is always going to decrease anyway if it's second hand.

I'm not doing medicine. Also, it was a joke. As for your question, I don't really think I would be able to help as i have no idea.
