I was analysing an image, and that was part of my analysis statement actually. I need a technique to go with this point, but I'm happy to discard it anyway because the link between the cityscape and the characters' belonging to place is vague anyway

Basic examples of visual techniques include vectors, foreground/background, visual hyperbole, visual metaphor, visual motif, visual juxtaposition, chiaroscuro, composition of the frame, primary focus, perspective etc.

My analysis point seems downright ridiculous since I was forcing myself to fit in more stuff, so I've dumped it (it might come in handy for other images though).
