Is it okay to talk about concepts in economics essays which are not strictly within the boundaries of the HSC economics syllabus but are obviously economic concepts??

i.e. like all these weird economic theories...

it is probably best not to....

if you look at the exemplars from 2002, they dont talk about whacked out things....they just answer the question, talk about all the relevant points from the syllabus and have plenty of supporting material i.e. figures, facts, stats etc.

if you just answer exactly what the question is asking, you will get 20/20. you dont need to be talking about things that nobody else in the state is. just focus on answering what you have been given.

also, instead of wasting time learning stuff that is outside of the syllabus, use that time to dig up and memorise stats that nobody else in the state will have. that way you will stand out much more than if you used whacked out theories.
