Lex's review of episode 3!

Lex: Survivors Morgan tribe maintains perfect losing streak

Shiver me timbers ... the battle for dominance in the Pearl Islands raged on this week, and once again the Morgan tribe found themselves a step closer to the end of the plank.

After three episodes, Morgan has maintained a perfect record ... of losing. Two more consecutive defeats and they will have broken "Survivors" all-time record of losingest tribe (the Maraamu tribe lost the first six challenges in Marquesas).

Morgan seems hell-bent on taking that long one-way trip down to Davy Jones Locker and itll take a miracle to get them out of the mess theyve made of their game.

Id suggest a mutiny, except that theres nobody left on the crew that I really care about anymore, and Id almost rather see the whole ship go down, dragging all of these scurvy dogs with it.

Since the lions share of our entertainment so far has come from watching the Morgan tribe nosedive into oblivion, I figured itd only be fair to feature them in this weeks column. Lets take a closer look at this sad tribes surviving members:

Andrew
Andrew, the 40 year-old attorney from Chicago, was once the in-house counsel for The Jerry Springer Show. Morgans delusional commander-in-chief, King Andrew, has consistently made one bonehead mistake after another, orchestrating the ejection of the tribes most valuable members while tenaciously protecting crybaby Osten the Quitter.

Judging from his ludicrous leadership skills, Andrew seems to be full of as much baloney as the trashy TV show he once represented. If any one person is to blame for Morgans currently pathetic situation, its Andrew. And does anybody else out there find themselves cracking up when he shows up to challenges and tribal councils, shirtless, wearing the Armani sport coat?

Osten
Osten, the 27 year-old equity trade manager from Boston, has the Charles Atlas body. Seriously, what the hell is this guy still doing on the show? With all his whining and complaining, Id have no choice but to send this dumb-ass to time out...the BIG time out. For a guy who days ago was begging to get out of the game, he sure does rally and talk a lot of trash about the folks hed like voted out. One word: QUITTER.

Ryan
Ryan O. is the 31 year-old electrician from Los Gatos. If I was Ryan, Id be more selective of who I run with, because the friends you keep will either lift you up or bring you down, and down is the only direction these simpletons have been traveling. Ryan has adopted the role of King Andrews lieutenant, or more accurately yes-man, and he seems to spend as much time hiding behind Andrews skivvies as Osten does.

Before I continue, a quick sidenote...Morgans men are oddly like the three stooges. Andrew is Moe, Ryan is Larry, and Osten is Shemp. (None of them are worthy of Curly...he was God.)

Darrah
Darrah is the 22 year-old mortician from Mississippi. Darrah, Darrah, Darrah...I had such high hopes for you. What happened to the girl in your audition video? You were supposed to be this seasons ass-whoopin firecracker with a smart mouth. Theres no doubt youre a hot lil mink, but beyond that youve turned out to be a dim bulb. Do your tribe mates even notice that youre there?

Get out from under that radar and start kicking some ass, or next weeks ballots at tribal council will all read: "that cute girl...whats her name?"

Tijuana
Tijuana is the 27 year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from St. Louis. She seems to be the only Morgan remaining with any common sense or play left in her. Shes managed to stay off the Three Stooges radar, and yet still speak her mind. Id love to see her jump ship and sneak over to the Drake camp.

The challenges this week were clever tests of each tribes ability to work together as a team, and it came as no surprise that Drake swept the competition again.

The reward challenge had each tribe split up in four dinghys (two per tribe), and on Jeffs signal they were to try and sink the other tribes boats. First tribe to sink both opponents boats won a stack of pillows, blankets and a mattress, along with a trip the losers camp to pillage the item of their choice.

Osten fought like a man possessed by bloodlust and revenge, and in the process lost all control and sense, sinking his own dinghy in a fit of competitive rage...definitely the highlight of the challenge. As each little Morgan boat sank in slow motion, you could almost hear the sad sound of taps being played by a lonely bugle in the distance.

One other scene that stuck out this week, was the shouting match between Jonny Jackass and Sandra. Im waiting for these two to engage in a Battle Royale. You know that when this fight goes down, itll be a gloves-off, knock down drag out brawl...and my moneys on Sandra all the way.

Jonny Dorkdog jinxed all chances of going far when he announced, "Sandras days are numbered, and Ive got a mil that says she wont be the final one."

This weeks episode made it seem like losing the tribes last fishhook is what sealed Lills doom, but I think it had a lot more to do with her being the outsider. I think Lillian game-ending blunder was the fact that she decided to go fishing alone rather than take someone along.

In my opinion, she still had a good chance to do a little lobbying and relationship building, with King Andrew perhaps, and mightve saved her skin if she hadnt lost her fighting spirit.

Tribal council was a crack up this week. Jeff Probst badgered everyone about the sorry state of Morgan and like ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand, they each responded with absurdities like "were a tribe unified" or "were still strong."

In a prophetic coincidence that reeked of foreshadowing, tribal council ended with Jeff Probst having to snuff Lills torch TWICE it seems the sucker just wouldnt go out. Hmmm...could this be a clue fingering the rumored pre-jury loser who wins the opportunity to come back into the game after the merge and resume playing?

Ah, that's right. I was thinking about thr jury, but I forgot that one member of the combined tribe doesn't make it to the jury.

Be prepared for a long read from the Survivor Insider - By Markopolo

Post Episode 1

Nicole explains her Journey
Watch as Insider takes you to an exclusive interview with Nicole Delma, the first castaway voted out of SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS, as she describes her experience.
Markopolo's note: Nicole says very little. This apparently is one day after she is voted off.
Nicole (confessional): The first day that we took off on the Rembrandt, we were all excited. We got all dressed up wearing our nice clothes. We were expecting to go to one great big last meal. Have a big celebration. We had all of our clothes packed that we were going to bring with us -- our luxury items and everything else like that. We took turns sleeping on and off the floor. Some people got a little seasick, but we were all smiling at one another. Then, before we knew it we were jumping ship into the water and the game had begun. It was a huge shock. When Jeff told us we were wearing the clothes on our back, I panicked. I had extremely uncomfortable shoes on. Just this tiny little dress that we could barely get zipped up. At the last minute before I left, I opted not to wear a bra in order to get the dress on easier. Which was very scary, because in a minute I was going to be jumping ship and swimming in the water with not a lot on.
And god knows what we were going to be doing, hiking, climbing, physical challenges and this is not suitable attire for any of those things.
CUT
Looking back on this first day since being voted off, my experience was very different than what I was expecting. Most importantly I have to say it's real. I think I've seen it before. I thought I knew what I was getting into. I thought it was going to be a lot easier than it was. The conditions are very real, especially the cold at night, the rain, the bugs, the lack of food, thirst. It was a lot tougher than I was expecting. But more than, the idea that people were playing mentally with you from the very beginning. I wasn't prepared for what I had gotten myself into. I took it a little too lightly and actually accepted that these people were becoming friends with me. I didn't realize exactly what was going on.
I learned a lot in the three days I was there. I realize how long three days is. Each night felt like it was 20 hours long. I also learned that certain comforts shouldn't be taken for granted. To take some value in the few good friends I have, because once you out there and you realize how some people can be. It's pretty amazing. That was one of the hardest things for me was not having anyone you could seriously talk to. Going through the struggle and not knowing if anyone around you can be trusted. That made it difficult. I'll also never pass up a meal just because I think I've eaten too much. I'll appreciate it a little more.
As we were paddling in to tribal council, I had some jitters in my stomach because of the way events had fallen apart throughout the day
I had a pretty good feeling it might be me. I was going to stick with all I could hope for which is my last chance -- the last alliance we had talked about was to vote Ryan S out. But the fall through with the girls and what it led to with the guys and their reaction, I had a pretty good feeling I was going home.
I kind of had already dealt with it earlier in the day, so it was exciting to me. I was running through my head how I was going to walk out. Thinking if I was going to leave. It was really dramatic. Jeff was very observant in some of things he pointed out. He had a pretty good finger on who was where and what was going on.
CUT
When I first saw my name, I felt a little bit like I've been duped, ya know. A little bit of a shock, because while I knew it was going to happen, I was overwhelmed that it was a reality. I thought at least some of the people would have stuck with what we had agreed on earlier that day. It hit me that there must have been a lot more talking going on than I was aware of. And I was feeling a little bit more secure than I should have been feeling earlier in the day.
I was disappointed in going home, cuz I wanted to make it further. But at the same time I accepted it. I understood why it happened and I was able to go with it.
CUT
At tribal council when Jeff asked me to bring up my torch and it was time to go, part of me was laughing, part of me was a little disappointed. When I pictured myself there before I was worried I was going to break out and cry, but I was half on the verge of laughing because I knew the irony of the situation. It was sad to know I was leaving, but when he put my torch out there was a big feeling of relief. The relief that I wasn't going to spend another night out there. So it was OK.
If I had the chance to go back and do survivor over again, I think my goal would be to keep my mouth shut longer. At the same time, that was my goal this time, and I wasn't able to do it, even for a million dollars.
Who I am came out. I couldn't bite my tongue. I tried, I couldn't do it. So I guess I don't have any regrets because I can't change who I am.

The Flirts Nest
Are Ryan and Osten just big flirts, or are actual romances budding at the Morgan camp? Find out who is snuggling with whom as you go inside the tribe's hut at night when the tribe readies for bed.
Markopolo's note: This takes place at night at the Morgan tribe. The voices are EXTREMELY hard to hear. Tijuana talks so fast, I can't keep up with her. I will do my best. (Clip shows Tijuana and Osten cuddling)
Nicole (confessional): With Tijuana and Osten, everyone else thinks there is something going on. She has this huge smile on her face. It's like, anyone can see it.
It's freezing and we're trying to cuddle up as much as possible. It's hard. OT, I lay on him so we can help each other keep warm. Having a good time, it makes it all the more worthwhile.
Ryan Osten (to Nicole): Lay this way, towards me.
Nicole (to Ryan): Why?
Ryan O: I dunno.
Nicole: (laughs)
CUT
Nicole (confessional): Ryan O is funny. I think he's just like a big flirt.
(Ryan lying next to Nicole -- inaudible)
Lill (confessional): I think there is a lot of flirting going on. A lot of girl-boy things.
Ryan O (to Nicole): I could lay this way (he's lying on his back), and you could lay this way (points up and down his body).
(laughter).
Lill (confessional): Boys like the girls and girls like the boys. Which is fine.
Darrah (to tribe): They're making out here.
(laughter)
Ryan O (to Darrah): I thought you were involved, too.
(laughter)
Ryan O (confessional): Me and Nicole were hanging out pretty tight and we were making some comments and I was laying pretty close to her. She's good to look at. (laughs).
Nicole (to Ryan O): Inaudible ...next time going into the water.
Ryan (to Nicole): Going without the dress? Yes!
Lill (confessional): The girls are cute to look at. Theyre cute and funny and dah dah dah. That makes those hormones going. Are you guys thinking, excuse the term, the pee pee?
Ryan O (in between Darrah and Nicole): I am one lucky guy.
Lill (confessional): Who knows? Who knows about young men? We can only t

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sandra Emerges
With her new Drake tribe intact, Sandra has quickly formed opinions about many of her tribemates. Get Inside the mind of feisty Sandra to learn what she really thinks of her new crew.
Markopolo's note: FINALLY a GREAT VIDEO! Sandra is awesome! She is definitely my favorite contestant. HILARIOUS!
Sandra (confessional): Jon to me appears to be very shady; he appears to be out for his own good, which I can't blame him because everybody out here is out for themselves. I am too. I'm not going to deny it. I'm not going to sit up here and lie. It's in my best interest to maybe make him my buddy for now. But when it's all said and done, I really can't stand him. He talks too much crap. All night long, cursing. Talking about stupid stuff. Everything sexual. I guess he used to make porno movies or whatever. I don't know what the deal is. He always has something cute to say. Well, he always has something that he thinks is cute. But, it isn't. It gets old. It's already old.
Jon is NOT attractive at all. (laughs). I actually put my hands around his ankles. They're this big (makes a small hole with her fist). He's really skinny. Hes smaller than me!
When we jumped off the boats. I can't believe I jumped because I drank so much water it was ridiculous. I had a stomach full of water.
But he was way behind. And even when I lost my buff and I went back looking for it, he was sitting on a rock, putting on his shoes. And then he tried to take charge. For what? You haven't a clue!
CUT
Jon to me is irrelevant. I don't care nothing for him. But if I need to make him my buddy for now so I can survive a day longer, because like I said, I am the outcast here, I honestly feel that I do not fit in, then Jon is going to be my buddy for the meantime. And hopefully, he'll go before I do.
CUT
So I have tried to find things in common with everybody. And then they start talking in big words. Half the stuff they're talking about, I haven't even a clue. So you start to feel alienated. That's why I feel like this.
CUT
I can talk to Rupert. I honestly believe now that Christa is good. She's my buddy for right now. We spent quite a while earlier on fooling with this one net trying to catch fish. The fish went in and when she pulled the net out, it went straight up instead of dragging. So the fish just took off. So then I wanted to take the net.
I went back and I asked Rupert, are you going to use the net for anything? He said, "no what do you want to do with it." I said, "I want the chickens to have a place instead of being tied up on the rope on the branch. He said, "Go for it, whatever." And Christa agreed with me also. And when Burton saw me grabbing it, he said," what are you doing with it." And I said, "Im going to have a house for the chickens." And he said, "No, I am going to use that tomorrow."
And I was like, "Oh, OK, whatever." So he has it in for me. He asked me for only one thing, "Can I put some mosquito repellant on his back. And I did it. He didn't say thank you AND LET ME TELL YOU WHAT THEY DID. Burton opened up a coconut while me and Christa are trying to get the stick into the fish's mouth and Burton decided to open up a coconut and he shared the milk with only Shawn and Michelle. And so I gave Christa the look, and I said, "Did they offer you any coconut milk. And she said, "No, and I wanted some." And so I went back and asked, "Hey, do you guys still have any coconut milk?" And they were like, No, we didn't know you guys wanted any. It was awful anyway. We can open up another one for you."
And we were like, "fine." But they never opened up another coconut. They started to take a nap.
CUT
To me it feels like being back in Puerto Rico, except we have no extra clothes....my underwears are through. If we get new underwear, mine are through, they are going straight into the fire, there is no way to salvage these.
I've gone camping a couple times, but we've always had everything we needed. ......
I was trying to get mango out of my tooth with my nail and my nail got stuck in my tooth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nap Time
How is the Drake tribe's new sleeping shelter holding up, and is comfort becoming an issue for Rupert? Go Inside the Drake tribe and find out where Rupert decides to sleep.
(Drake's shelter crashes in.)
Burton (confessional): They didn't measure it out and we're packed like sardines. Everyone had to literally sleep on one shoulder. Michelle (confessional): Somebody's feet smells. I almost threw up all over the place. Rupert: "I can't sleep in that jungle. I tried to find something. (Rupert tries to sleep on rocks on beach). If I could go 39 days and never have to sleep, I would make this beautifully, but nighttime is killing me.
(Rupert can't sleep).
Rupert: I start thinking about family. (Cries).
I miss my wife, I miss my daughter. I miss my life back there already. (Rupert talks to his stars like he is speaking to his family).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TRIBAL COUNCIL VOTING
We watched Nicole's torch get extinguished at Tribal Council, but what you didn't see is every one of her tribe members cast their vote. Go Inside the voting booth as the Morgan tribe explains their votes.
Markopolo's note: It is VERY hard to hear because of the high winds. I had a ton of trouble with Tijuana, Ryan O and Lil. Also, Ryan S. apparently thinks he is gone from the tone and content of his vote.

Nicole (votes Ryan S.): Ryan I am voting for you only because my alliance fell through and you're the only one that I heard other people could be voting for, so....that's my vote.
Tijuana (votes Nicole): NOTE: TIJUANA IS GOING TO BE A BIG PROBLEM. SHE TALKS WAY TOO FAST. Nicole, I trusted you once. I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I caught you conspiring. The second time around, I've gotta (keep?) people I can trust. It could be that I am naive; I hope that I am not. If that's the case, you stabbed me in the back or you were trying to. Unfortunately, I found out and I'm saving myself.
Darrah (votes Nicole): I'm voting for you Nicole. Nothing personal. I love you to death. (to keep the tribe's trust??? inaudible) It's just something I had to do today to save myself.
Andrew (votes Nicole): At this stage of the game, our tribe can't be torn with distrust and conspiracy. Your conflict with Tijuana is the reason for this vote.
Ryan O (votes Nicole): NOTE: VERY HARD TO HEAR THIS DUDE. I don't want to do this. (inaudible) around the camp fire. It just didn't work like that. Ryan wasn't pulling his weight. But he has integrity and he will (inaudible) better than you can.
Osten (votes Nicole): I'm voting for you tonight because you made an alliance too early. Thanks for playing.
Ryan S. (votes Nichole): My vote is for Nicole. Outstanding person. I hope you let your childish and petty arguments keep you around for another little bit. FUNNY HE DROPS THE OTHER VOTING PARCHMENT PAPER ON THE FLOOR AFTER HIS VOTE! HAHAHAHAHA!
Lill (votes Nicole): I appreciate in the village when one of the boys asked you to flash. I appreciated that you said "no I am not going to do something like that."
I didn't appreciate that I also saw a lot of lying going on. You and I had a conversation about and in three minutes you asked me to help you get rid of something. I wasnt real comfortable. I more or less had to think about it more. You said in just the few minutes we talked (inaudible). So many things came back to me saying that I had said something I didn't say. So I think you got carried away with the game. I think you're a smart (or swell?) person, I'm sorry, but you're my vote tonight.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nicole is Adjusting
Nicole is adapting to her new environment, but is she adjusting as well with her new tribemates? Find out as Nicole explains her position within the Morgan tribe.
HIGHLIGHTS ONLY (she says so little and mentions nothing of Tijuana)
ON HER CONDITION: Physically I feel OK. I'm surprised I haven't been hungrier. It would be great if I could get more water. We started to get some fruit nuts today.
ON OTHERS' CONDITIONS: The guys are getting so moody when they are hungry or thirsty. You can't even talk to them. The hunger is completely gone at this point.
ON THE GROUP: Our group is acting without thinking things out. Every one of our fires are going out. We've gone to bed without food. It's because we're not thinking. People will go and say, "Well, I'm going to do this." And I'll make a suggestion and it comes off as I'm being bossy.
ON THE SHELTER: No one had discussed it. The two guys said were going to build it and do it our way.

CBS.com Transcript with Burton Roberts

SURVIVOR Host: Hey Burton! Thanks for being here today. Are you ready to take some questions?
Burton: Yes, I am!

Jman: Burton did you have any idea you were the target?
Burton: I knew that some people were going after me and some people were going after Christa. I had a pretty good idea that John was going to be the deciding factor and I was just hoping it would not me and it would be Christa. So, I knew there was a chance but I thought it was pretty slim.

Arrgh: Why did you want to vote Christa off so badly?
Burton: Because I was looking ahead, down the road in the game, and just really thinking that Christa or Sandra would be two who would definitely go after me and Christa was a bigger threat in challenges than Sandra. Additionally, Christa irritated a lot of people and caused a lot of internal conflict in our tribe.

seewater: Hi Burt, What exactly was it about Christa that you didn't like?
Burton: The fact that everyone could be standing around in a good mood and she would just out of the blue throw in a random question to cause arguments or just be rude to someone. To give you an example, in the show, Shawn, Christa and I and probably some others were standing around the fire and Christa said to Shawn, "Did you go to college?" He said yes and then she asked if he graduated. He said yeah and then for no reason she looked at me and asked the same thing. And her laugh and stupid facial expressions get old after a while also.

SurvivorBecca: Burton, why did you decide to confide in Rupert? Did you have any idea that he would share your secret plan?
Burton: I thought I could trust Rupert, first off, but the other reason I confided in him is because he and I were the two biggest threats and I thought working to together and having an alliance would help both of us go farther. As it turns out, I didn't know he was so insecure and took the jokes earlier on to heart and went and told everyone what I'd talked about with him. For the record, that conversation (the one where we talked about being strong players) was over an hour long and it was a two way conversation, not just me suggesting things to him.

CeLeRoN: Hey Burton, isn't it funny that the first member from each tribe voted out appeared to have spoken too soon about a strategy?
Burton: What they didn't show is that there were strategic talks non-stop, you know from early on they just didn't show it. So, it may have looked like I was the first to bring it up but other people talked about throwing the challenge, I think John brought it up. It wasn't a secret and I'd heard at least six people talk about throwing the challenge.

Tigger2: Hi Burton, in retrospect, how much do you want to kick your own butt for having that conversation to Rupert?
Burton: It was a conversation that I thought needed to take place and I had no reason to believe Rupert wouldn't think strategically and logically, so I don't regret it.

Dena: Burton, do you think watching the episodes that you and Shawn were a little rude to Rupert?
Burton: I acted to Rupert the way I would act to any of my good friends. I was light heartedly joking around. Rupert took those way more personally than I expected him to and after seeing the show... I mean, obviously he has insecurity issues from the past. Nothing was stated maliciously, it's just the way that I act around friends that I hang out with.
Burton: ...if any of my friends ever wear a skirt I'll definitely give them a hard time.

Mommarabbit: Burton, I can't say I am sorry to see you go, you were rude and mean, you reminded me of a high school bully. Did you learn anything by seeing yourself on TV?
Burton: I know that I'm not in high school and those are just bits and pieces, once again. I mean, I talked to Rupert about fishing and helped him do this and that and he helped me. So, we did work together on a number of things that may or may not have made it on the episodes. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe I pushed him around or bullied him. I think it was three little jokes.

rink: Burton, you got five votes! Who was your alliance and why did they turn on you?
Burton: My close alliance was with Shawn and Michelle with John on the outside for a questionable vote. Both John, which I knew was a possibility, and Shawn voted against me. After watching the show, I'm pretty sure what happened is that at the last minute John told Shawn that he was voting me out and it was in Shawn's best interest to change alliances and go with the majority, which any player would have done.

rink: Jeff looked pissed last night at Jon. Did he say anything else to Jon that we didn't get to see?
Burton: Jeff was clearly not happy with Jon at Tribal Council because it was disrespectful to the game and the people and Jeff made that very clear and he asked that it never happen again.

rink: What was Jon drinking and how much did he consume before y'all went to Tribal Council?
Burton: I think it was some sort of whiskey that we'd mixed with coffee and he did not have much. He didn't have any more than anyone else but since he weighs sixty pounds dripping wet it had a greater effect on him.

pirate: Burton, what were you and Jon doing out there in the water naked?
Burton: Jon had his clothes back on at that point and I actually took advantage of having one last conversation with him to try to convince him to vote Christa off. The way the show was cut you don't see that he put his clothes back on.

GatorGirl: So will you be posing for Playgirl? (Say yes!)
Burton: [laughs] I cannot answer yes to that question.

dizzyupthegirl: Was Jon as annoying as he appeared on TV?
Burton: To some people Jon was very annoying but I actually found him quite humorous. Having someone like that on the tribe kept things interesting and he was just a heatseeker for arguments and fights that kept others out of the spotlight from a negative standpoint.

yingyang: Burton, out of everyone who is your least favorite and why?
Burton: What you think of people changes on a daily basis so it's really hard to say who's really your favorite. Because of the nature of the game you could just as easily be in an alliance with the people you hate as the people you like because at the end of the day you'll use whoever you can to get you as far as you can in the game.

Cbear1976: Jeff really gives you guys a hard time and tells it like it is doesn't he? Is he friendly at all or more like a manager?
Burton: Jeff's a really nice, friendly person who does his job amazingly well and does what he has to keep the game going and for him to understand what's happening.

mstosca: One of the things that is interesting to me about the show is that there must be thousands of hours of footage taken--how does it feel to see yourself edited into something the producers consider dramatic?
Burton: That's a very good point and you never really know what to expect until you see it on TV especially since a lot of what happens is completely unknown to you because it's either in the other camp or behind the scenes. So, that's just the nature of a show being filmed 24 hrs.

Survivor Louie: Burton: was there any hanky-panky between you and any of the others while you were on the island or after you were voted off?
Burton: No, and everyone loves to ask that question. In this game of all games, it's not conducive to that whatsoever.

Lill_Morris: So did you have a crush on any of the Survivors?
Burton: No, but I did like Michelle the best out of all the girls in my tribe.

SurvivorBecca: Burton, what past Survivors would you like to have on your tribe, if you got to choose?
Burton: I would say Hunter (Marquesas), Matthew and Colby. I can't think of the girls' names, but it would be a group of strong people vs. just a few of them in a bigger group.

rattler: Burton, when Rupert went to the other tribe, did anyone fear he would change loyalties?
Burton: Definitely and in the show Trish actually said so. It was unknown if he would spill the beans to them and tell them everything or if he would actually lie to them and not help them.

di5c0diva: I loved your comment about the best/smartest/strongest no longer being able to win...who are you rooting for now?
Burton: It'll be interesting in the next couple of weeks to see who I end up rooting for as I watch alliances and characters develop in both tribes. Right now, there's so much up in the air. Other than Michelle, I don't know who I would root for.

WalkThePlankMatey: How tense was it on the beach when Osten was drowning?
Burton: I had just come in from getting a piece of the puzzle when I heard him screaming in the water and at first I thought he just needed help finding his puzzle piece but then realized he was actually panicking. While it was probably really tough for him, nothing was going to happen because we had so many people on the beach that could have saved him.

marypat: Burton, do you think that Osten was really in trouble during the competition or just a wuss?
Burton: [laughs] I think he panicked in the water but based on what I've seen on the show to this date, he's definitely a wuss also.

Survivor Louie: Burton: what do you think of the way Rupert has played the game up to this point and do you resent him for organizing the girls against you?
Burton: On the island it didn't seem like Rupert was playing much of a game, he just seemed to be doing his own thing and the only strategy I've seen on the show is him lying to me and turning around and going behind my back. Do I resent that? Yeah, I mean, he flat out lied and deceived me. While that's part of the game, I did think I could trust him.

dtcutting: How funny was it that Jon acted like a wrestler, but kept getting thrown into the water during last night's challenge?
Burton: Jon acts and talks like a wrestler but will never have any wrestling skills without gaining a couple hundred pounds. It was very funny in the challenge when he kept going in the water in the face offs with some of the girls.

Dazed_and_Confused: Why didn't you guys take the last pan from the other tribe? You should have depleted them of all essentials.
Burton: I agree with that and figured if you're going to kick 'em when they're down do it all the way, but I was overruled in that thinking.

ruprules01: Do you feel that perhaps you, Michelle and Shawn were too cliquish?
Burton: Yes and after a few days, I realized that and therefore tried to change it but it might have been a little bit too late. It wasn't intentional, it just sort of happened that way in the first day or two.

momtotwo: What item in your possessions that you had to leave behind do you think could have helped you?
Burton: Nothing. It's a strategy game and once you got over the fact that you only had what you wore into the game, it wasn't a big deal at all.

dixiedarlin: Were you disappointed in the treasure chest contents?
Burton: To me, the treasure chest was really exciting and we got a lot of great things out of it but other people seemed to have ridiculous expectations and were therefore let down. For example, Rupert expected a water purifier. To me, having sugar, honey, coffee, whiskey and canned food was great.

Devils Fork: Burton, how would cannibalizing your own team prior to a merge be beneficial for you in the end game?
Burton: Assuming the Drake tribe eliminated every one in the Morgan tribe and became the final eight, we then would have been forced to cannibalize our own tribe. Once that is the case it naturally tends to go the weak vs. the strong, which would have put Rupert and me and Shawn in the minority and in a very bad situation. So, my thought to eliminate some of the weaker players was to prevent that happening later in the game.

di5c0diva: Which member of the Morgan tribe would you have selected to be a part of your tribe if given the option?
Burton: Probably Ryan O. because he seemed to be strong yet was not the obvious leader and therefore would have been a good alliance partner.

Daddysgirl: Hi Burton! Why do you think the Morgan tribe did so poorly? Do you think that the team was weak mentally or physically?
Burton: I think they lacked strategy and they started off on the wrong foot on the first day without a plan and rushing through the village--leaving poorly supplied and with extra money. From what we've seen it seems they never got on track mentally and strategically after that point and seemed to just implode on a daily basis. Seeing them at all the challenges, they appeared to be a very physical and competitive team yet did not execute the challenges very well.

tiza: Burton, was your tribe aware of the poor conditions of Morgan tribe?
Burton: Not to the extent that I've witnessed on TV, but we heard about it at every challenge to some degree. With a fishing spear and other means to get fish, it's not that the fish or food wasn't there as much as it was that they were unable to get it.

all4jenna: Hello Burt, What was your most embarrassing moment on the show?
Burton: [laughs] Being the first one kicked out of my tribe.

Red_Man: Burton, which challenge was the hardest for you personally?
Burton: The cannon pull--the first challenge--was by far the most exhausting of all because of the conditions, the length of it and the sheer weight of the cannon.

SurvivorWatcher: Hi Burton! What would you do differently if you could start the game all over again?
Burton: I guess I would have tried to be a little more low-key, but for someone like me it's just extremely difficult, if not impossible because I know in any game like this where your strengths can be your weaknesses, I am at a disadvantage.

Zone: Burton, what, if anything, do you miss about being on the island?
Burton: I miss the game, the challenges, oddly enough the people [laughs] and the fact that we had our own private lagoon that I could snorkel and spearfish in all day long.

SURVIVOR Host: I am sorry to say that our hour with Burton is up. Burton, thanks so much for being here to chat with us today. Do you have any final comments for the Survivor fans?
Burton: Thanks for the support and keep watching!
