My teacher thinks its a good idea to highlight the main cases, legislation, statistics etc. (like with a highlighter)

Is it a good idea? Or should i just underline them or something?

i just underline statute and common laws. I think you should trust that the marker will notice you have put in enough evidence.

you have no idea what an excellent idea that is. my teacher marks hsc papers and sees this every year. he recommends that after you write your esay, spend a minute highlighting key words such as the topic issue, legislation, cases and anything of utmost importance. my teacher said that markers just wanna see that you know your stuff and the easiest way to scab marks is by hightlighting this stuff so they see the main things and they automatically see that you are aware of you what you're talking about.
