At school we have been told not to only mention conventions and techniques about Spec fic but also structure!! Im so lost.. I have chosen to focus around Handmaid's Tale and Cyteen.. HT is fine, HOWEVER Cyteen is not.. I know that it is a multi-modal text but how does it mirror the composers intent!? and GAHHHHHH how does verisimilitude come into all of this!? headache! :burn:

Woah, 'multimodal', I don't think we ever mensioned that, but we're doin Dune insteed of Cyteen so, I'm hoping I'm safe... Now what I'm assuming with the structure things, is because we're looking at the texts though the conventions of the genre, well, defining conventions, that's shared traits in content, structure, style etc etc etc, so I'm guessing that's the way structure comes into it. And verisimilitude would come into the suspension of disbelief, right? All the things that make the alternative worlds realistic or believable or whatever. I may be entirely wrong.
