Does anyone know what sorts of string processing we may need to know for this exam? Based on past papers, what is it that they normally test?

Any insight would be very much appreciated...

They haven't asked yet for string processing as such but what they have asked is to do this algorithm and one of the criteria was that it sorted a record by the ticket number.

Without sounding too cliche' here I will have to say that if it's in the syllabus, the BOS has the power to test it. So binary, insertion, selection sort algorithms, as well as insertion, deletion string manipulation algorithms and linear and binary search algorithms may very well be tested as they haven't been tested outside multiple choice.

If it does come up, I reckon its most likely to come up as a multi-choice question, just because they really dont define any Pseudocode methods in the syllabus for your usual string manipulations.
