For half yearly stimulus response coming up, is it necessary to memorise all aspects of the syllabus or is it assumed questions are only asked on particular areas. For example, a stimulus response may only ever be asked for employment relations under the effective employment relations and industrial conflict headings? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated..

in the HSC (and possibly trials) there are 4 sections
i) multiple choice is simple enough
ii) short answers usually based on a simple stimulus above the question or financial data
iii) business report*
iv) extended response*

*out of the five topics studied over the course all five can be asked in iii and iv. however, it cant be asked twice.
eg if you're asked to write a business report on effective management of a global business they can't ask you about a global business in the extended response.

they can mix and match in any way they like as long as they stick to those guidelines.
p.s. its recommended you write a business report in the extended response too, unless you're absolutely fantastic at holistic reports.
