as the title suggest im aware there are many post out there like this but i just wanted to clarify something in my head.

ok so the general idea seems to be, that if you are ranked 3rd 89 in internal marks u would get the 3rd external mark lets say its 92 and then its the average of the two?

my question is if i was ranked 3rd with 89 and in the hsc i got for example 96 would i still get the 92 mark instead despite the fact that i had done much better then that?

just a bit confused about that...

thanks

You keep your own exam mark. Its your internal mark that gets moderated by ranking. So yes you would still get 96 for the hsc exam.

oh ok so i would have an exam mark of 96

and my internal mark initially 89 will be averaged with 92 giving me a 90.5

90.5 will then be averaged with my external mark of 96?

so for that subject it would give me the total of 93.25?

you get 50% external mark and 50% internal.
so for your case if you get 96 for external and 89 for internal you get a final mark of 92.5
