Software Engineering... Again (1 Viewer)

I would like to restart the Software Engineering thread located somewhere below this,

I want to do Software Engineering at UNI but i DONT come from Sydney and Generally dont like the place (Though i would go there if the course is worth it). I also have no preference in uni's as where ever i go ill have to move.

Now can someone please suggest reasons why any Uni is better than another including UC and ANU, why UC & ANU only require about 80 UAI when NSW and Syd require 95 (I know its partly supply & demand but that cant make up 15 marks, can it?)

A number of reasons:
1. Demand of applicants
2. number of spots available
3. number of school leavers in a area e.g very few in ACT compared to Sydney, therefore harder to fill spots, hence less UAI.
